TotalMounter Review
Application Software Download Free
TotalMounter is a free application that allows you to create and mount a virtual CD/DVD burner, which can be used to burn data from an ISO file instead of an optical disk. The application works on Windows 7, including the 64-bit version, and it features a build-in CD/DVD-RW emulator.
The interface is very simple and intuitive, even for first-time users. It offers the option to load a virtual CD/DVD-ROM or an existing image file, as well as to generate and mount a VHD file and initiate an iSCSI file.
It is also possible to create and mount a RAW image file (IMG) that can be encrypted with a password for added security. The program supports several other image types as well, including BIN, MDF, CDI, NRG, and more.
Another great feature is the ability to create and mount virtual disk files (IMG and VHD) that allow you to store large amounts of data in one file. They can be password-protected for extra security, as well as partitioned and formatted like a real disk.
Other useful features include an iSCSI initiator that can be used to mount any iSCSI target, and a full-featured INetDisk client that can be used to mount remote disks. This application is lightweight, so it can be installed on most Windows systems and does not require a high system CPU or memory. Its response time is good, and it did not freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests.
